Kind of wild how low some Platinum offers have gotten. I’ve been trying to snag one for about a month, checking pretty regularly, backing out when it was only 80k. Then suddenly I try Safari incognito through Resy and boom… even worse.
What makes it more confusing is I’m also seeing a 50k for $2k spend upgrade offer on my Gold at the same time. Feels like Amex’s targeting logic is completely random lately.
Personally I’d probably hold off a bit. Offers tend to swing back and forth and once you apply, that door’s closed for a long time. Unless you really need the card right now, waiting for a better targeted offer might be worth it.
