Been flying for over 50 years and never had this one before. Left the gate in Denver about 15 minutes late, then sat on the tarmac another 15. Pilot comes on and says the plane is too heavy to take off. We had to go back so they could remove some fuel.
Now we need an extra refueling stop mid-route, and the delay’s already past four hours.
Does this happen often and I’ve just been lucky till now?
