You really couldn't invent a story like this. We were flying from DFW to MRY and had already made it about halfway down the jet bridge for pre-boarding since my husband is recovering from surgery. Then the pilot stepped out and told everyone to head back to the gate because the flight crew had somehow locked themselves out of the cockpit.
It turned into quite a scene. Maintenance had to be called in, and someone reportedly climbed in through the cockpit window to unlock the door from the inside. 🤦♀️😂
Thankfully, it seems they managed to resolve the issue, so we're hoping boarding will resume shortly.
