Flew out of Denver on an A319 and was surprised the captain left Channel 9 on the entire 2.5 hour flight.
Heard everything. ATC calls, checklists, random chat between the pilots about their kids, terrain we were flying over, even a couple curse words. It was actually kind of fascinating.
I know Channel 9 used to be more common but I feel like lately it’s hit or miss depending on the crew.
Did I just get lucky or are you all still seeing this fairly often?
