Title: Philippine Airlines Still Flying Solo Without a Global Alliance
I always forget PAL isn’t part of any alliance until I go to book a multi-airline trip and get smacked with weird baggage rules or realize my status doesn’t count for anything. I get why they’re doing their own thing flexibility, cost, etc. but man, as someone who leans hard into Oneworld and SkyTeam, it’s a bit of a hassle. The codeshares help a little, but it's not the same when you're used to the full alliance perks.
Anyone else feel like PAL is this close to joining Oneworld, but just dragging their feet?
