Just finished a long Amtrak trip from NYC back to Florida and something always fascinates me on these long rides.
The person sitting next to me for the entire trip barely moved the whole time. Didn’t eat anything, didn’t get up for the restroom once, nothing. And this was a 21 hour ride.
What makes it even stranger is sometimes these passengers don’t even use a phone, book, or tablet. They’ll literally just sit there staring ahead for 15+ hours.
I ride long distance a few times a year and I’ve seen this more than once. Not judging, just genuinely amazed how some people can do that.
