I have a trip later this year with United Airlines that includes an international itinerary with a domestic connection.
For the international leg, my passport and visa information show as fully completed and cleared. However, on the initial domestic segment, I am seeing a “pending airport verification” status, along with a message I have not seen before.
This is confusing because my passport has been saved on my United account for over a year and has been used successfully on previous trips. Interestingly, my other domestic segments on the same itinerary do not even show a passport information field at all.
I am trying to understand why this happens and whether it will affect online check-in. I usually check in online so I can look for last-minute upgrade offers, and I would prefer not to lose that option.
Has anyone experienced this before, and does it resolve automatically closer to departure?
