On a recent flight with United Airlines, I was seated in the middle cabin when the aircraft arrived at the gate about 30 minutes behind schedule.
During deplaning, I overheard a passenger speaking with a flight attendant who confirmed he had only an 11-minute connection. A few of us around him stepped aside to let him move forward so he could try to make his next flight.
However, a passenger a few rows ahead became very vocal and objected, stating that everyone has places to be and insisting that others should not let him pass.
I understand the general “row by row” deplaning etiquette, but I am trying to understand the downside of allowing someone with a very tight connection to move ahead in situations like this.
