I was on Star of the Seas yesterday when the “Oscar, Oscar, Oscar” alert went off someone actually fell off the pier at CocoCay! From the deck, I could see the commotion. Turns out the guy was filming the ship on his phone and lost his footing. Thankfully, crew reacted super fast, tossed a life ring, and a jet ski brought him back. He looked okay, just totally soaked.
It was a wild reminder to be careful on those piers, especially with so many people trying to get that perfect shot. We were all just starting our day on the island when it happened.
Anyone else ever witness something like this on a cruise? Definitely makes me more cautious now.
