Am I overthinking this situation?
While waiting at a small Polish airport (Pyrzowice) for my flight to London, an older woman in her 60s approached me after security while we were at the gate area.
Since it was a Ryanair flight, there are strict baggage limits unless you pay for extra allowance. She had a small carry-on bag plus another cabin bag for overhead storage, along with two duty free bags. She told me the items included sweets for her grandchildren and showed them to me, but I declined to take anything for her.
I explained that it’s generally not safe or allowed to carry someone else’s luggage through boarding. I also already had a full carry-on bag, so I couldn’t help anyway. I told her she should be fine bringing the duty free bags herself.
I’m unsure if she was just confused about Ryanair baggage rules (which are quite strict in Poland) or if there was something more suspicious going on. I felt a bit uneasy but I’m wondering if I was too cautious.
