Rates and booking
I’m not against parking fees in general. I understand hotels have to maintain parking facilities and there are real costs involved. But the pricing at some properties has gotten out of control.
For example, the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco is charging $91 per day for parking. That feels excessive, especially when in some regions you can find an entire hotel stay at a Courtyard or similar brand for not much more than that per night.
At that point it starts to feel less like a reasonable service fee and more like an additional profit stream added on top of already expensive room rates.
I think there should be some kind of cap or guideline on parking fees, something closer to a reasonable daily range instead of what feels like uncontrolled pricing.
Just my opinion, but it’s getting hard to justify these charges when planning a stay.
