On a Delta flight right now and this one is honestly hard to watch. I’m in C+ next to a very sick kid. Like sick enough that before pushback the gate agent and other Delta staff came onboard to check on her. Pale, miserable, clearly not doing well.
Other passengers are offering blankets, trying to help, even offering to switch seats. Flight attendants keep checking on her. We’re over two hours into the flight and there’s still no sign of her parents.
Turns out mom and dad are up in D1.
This kid could be lying flat, resting, and not breathing all over the rest of the cabin if they had her up there with them. Instead she’s surrounded by strangers while everyone else deals with the fallout.
I get upgrades and all that, but come on. Please don’t be these people.
