Our PMS supposedly has built in overbooking protection. It should stop selling once we hit capacity.
Last night we still ended up 3 rooms oversold.
Two bookings from Booking.com, one from Expedia. All confirmed, prepaid, and all showed as available in our system at the time they were made.
Now we’re walking guests, paying rate differences at other properties, and bracing for reviews.
Support’s answer was basically “sync delay.” This is the second time in two months.
How is room inventory management still this fragile in 2026? Anyone else dealing with OTA sync issues like this even with “modern” systems?
