Had a nightmare with Air Arabia at Sharjah yesterday. Flight was overbooked and around 15 of us were denied boarding at the gate.
They sent us to a hotel saying our new boarding passes would be there. Hotel staff had no idea what we were talking about. Turns out this is something they do just to get passengers out of the airport.
Went back and spent about 15 hours being passed between supervisors. No clear answers, no real help, no refunds. Around 50 passengers stuck, including families with babies. At one point we were even told a new flight was scheduled that never actually existed.
Eventually one staff member finally helped and rebooked me. That was the only reason I got out.
Never flying Air Arabia again. When something goes wrong, they completely drop you.
