So Lake Superior just made USA Today's top 10 list for both swimming and water sports which is wild when you think about how many lakes Minnesota has. Don’t get me wrong, it’s stunning and massive, but unless you catch it in August, the water is usually cold enough to give you a full-body brain freeze.
Still, it’s cool literally to see it recognized. It came in 8th for swimming and 10th for water sports. Honestly, I’d rank a few smaller, warmer lakes higher myself, but Superior’s got that epic vibe especially around Duluth or up near Grand Marais.
Anyone got a favorite MN lake that should have made the list instead?
