I’m fairly new to World of Hyatt but have started traveling more frequently for work, so I’ve been staying at Hyatt properties over the past couple of weeks.
I stayed at three different hotels recently, and for two of them both qualifying nights and points posted correctly. However, for my stay at Hyatt Regency Chicago, only 500 points were credited even though I spent about $1,077 over two nights. All bookings were made the same way through my company’s travel booking portal.
Has anyone experienced this before? I’m wondering if this is just a placeholder credit or if something went wrong in how the stay was processed.
Edit: I contacted Hyatt support and they said my company’s booking portal may have selected airline miles instead of Hyatt points as the earning preference. They opened a case, but it sounds like it may not be reversible.
