My husband and I are both oneworld Sapphire through Qatar, and we’re flying Finnair next month on a domestic flight. Trying to make sure we understand the baggage rules.
The oneworld site says that on purely domestic itineraries using the piece system, Sapphire gets one checked bag up to 23kg if the ticket has no baggage included. Finnair’s site, for Finnair Plus Gold (which maps to OWS), says you can bring one extra checked bag up to 23kg for free.
Our tickets already include one checked bag. Does Sapphire mean we get an additional bag on top of that, or is the benefit only kicking in when the ticket has zero checked bags?
Would love to hear from anyone who’s actually flown Finnair domestic with OWS.
