A Muscat-to-Thailand flight on Oman Air had to divert back just after takeoff due to an unexpected technical glitch. They haven’t said much about what went wrong, but it sounds like the sort of precautionary move we all want airlines to take when something's off. Still, I can imagine the disappointment for passengers who were ready to start a trip to Thailand, only to end up back where they started. Glad safety came first, but man... hope they got a smooth rebooking.
