I have lounge access through my AA credit card and usually hit Platinum or PP each year. I’m based at a small regional airport and always connect through a hub, so I end up in lounges a lot during layovers and delays.
I can bring in two guests, but that perk almost never gets used unless I’m traveling with a coworker. I’ll sometimes chat with people who don’t fly much and offer to bring them into the lounge for a coffee or snack if they’re stuck waiting.
More often than not they look at me like I’m crazy and politely decline. Now I’m wondering if this comes off as creepy instead of generous.
Am I the weird one here, or do most people just not want to follow a stranger into a lounge?
