Weird travel day. I was booked on the 6:30am DCA–ORD tomorrow but switched to the 10:45pm tonight. Got to the airport early, saw a random unscheduled flight on the board, and turns out it was an earlier ORD flight that had returned for maintenance.
Asked at check-in and next thing I know the agent’s on the phone telling me to hustle. Gate was closed with a big, Flight Closed sign, but the GA said “I was waiting for you!” and handed me a boarding pass.
Now I’m almost at ORD but AA is blowing up my phone with hotel and meal vouchers for delays. No delays for me just one of the stranger AA trips I’ve had.
