NYC Kimpton Ashbel canceled my stay with no help rebooking

Got an email from the Kimpton Ashbel saying they’d relocate me to another nearby hotel then the next day they just canceled my reservation entirely. No rebooking, no compensation, nothing.


Ended up calling the Diamond line and spent an hour and a half getting them to rebook me at the InterContinental Barclay for the same points, but only in a classic room. They repeated over and over that I couldn’t be upgraded to premium.


Pretty disappointing experience for IHG, especially at that tier.
