Just got word that Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America is going bottle-free, no more bottled water in drink packages starting August 15. Instead, they’re installing Vero Water dispensers around the ship. You’ll need your keycard to access them, and you have to bring your own bottle or buy their $15 souvenir one. It's all part of their push to cut single-use plastics, especially important in eco-sensitive Hawaii.
Personally, I appreciate the sustainability effort, but I’m curious how guests will feel about having to carry a bottle everywhere. I mean, on hot port days, having a sealed bottle is so convenient. What do you all think? Is this a small trade-off for a greener cruise, or a downgrade in comfort?
