This whole wave of agribusiness that looks a lot more like amusement parks is getting exhausting. A gondola up Mauna Kaala? A luxury condo complex near burial sites? It’s not anti-tourism to want your home to stay livable and sacred spaces respected. I get wanting to share the island — I’m a visitor myself but when locals keep saying “no,” maybe it’s time to actually listen.
The traffic on the North Shore already feels like Manhattan during surf season. You really think we need ziplines and gondolas jammed on top of that?
