No seat selected on Frontier, how does it work?

Flying Frontier for the first time this weekend. When I booked, I skipped paying to select a seat.

Just wondering what happens next:

• When I check in, will they automatically assign me a seat?

• Or do I need to go to the counter and have someone assign one?

Trying to avoid unnecessary fees but also don’t want to show up and have an issue.
