If you’re planning a late-summer coastal road trip or beach getaway in the Carolinas or Georgia, you might want to keep your eyes on the forecast. The Southeast coast is on a hot streak for storm development, two tropical storms and now a fifth possible disturbance are brewing in what’s becoming a seasonal hotspot. The National Hurricane Center says the current system has a 40% chance of forming within a week, but even without full storm status, it could bring heavy rain and dangerous rip currents.
Anyone else traveling this region soon or currently there? What’s your hurricane-season game plan when you're on the move?
