I fly through O’Hare a lot, and I was genuinely excited to hear they just broke ground on a brand-new concourse. It’s called Concourse D, and it's part of a $1.3B expansion that will add 19 gates, a big atrium with natural light, lounge space, and even a kid’s play area. After years of squeezing through crowded gates, this feels like much-needed breathing room.
Construction won’t wrap up until 2028, but I’ll happily wait if it means shorter lines and more places to chill during layovers. I’m especially curious how they’ll divide the new gates between United and American. Anyone else think this could really change the O’Hare experience?
