Checked into the InterContinental Brisbane and politely asked if there was any chance of a lounge access upgrade. I’m only IHG Gold, so I wasn’t expecting much, but they said yes.
Then they also threw in a 6pm checkout for free.
Honestly a smart move on their part. Little things like that make it an easy choice to stay there again. It’s pretty much my default Brisbane hotel now.
