For the past 18 months, I have never been able to use a single-use lounge pass when flying with United Airlines.
Every time I try, I see a sign at the United Club entrance saying they are not accepting single-use passes. This has happened at multiple airports including Houston, San Francisco, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Miami.
It does not seem to matter what time I arrive, whether early morning or late evening.
These passes are a small credit card perk (2 per year), but in practice I have not been able to redeem a single one.
Is this normal now? Are these passes basically useless due to capacity restrictions, or am I just consistently unlucky?
