I finally made it out to Virginia City last fall and honestly, it felt like stepping onto a movie set someone forgot to pack up. Creaky boardwalks, dusty saloons, and that eerie feeling like the past never quite left. I’ve been low-key obsessed with small-town Nevada ever since. There’s something about these places like Genoa’s quiet charm or Ely’s retro train rides that makes you slow down and just breathe a little deeper.
Tonopah is next for me, mostly for the stargazing and the Mizpah Hotel haunted or not, I’m curious. And I didn’t even know about Caliente and those hot springs until now that one just jumped way up my list. These towns feel like the kind of places where you accidentally spend hours doing nothing and somehow leave with some of your best memories. Anyone else got a favorite?
