I have a 23.5-hour layover in Amsterdam and chose this flight specifically to explore a city I haven’t been to before. I’m looking for an old, small boutique-style hotel. I don’t care about being near nightlife, the red light district, or tourist-heavy areas. My goal is simply to explore on foot or by bike, enjoy good food, and experience interesting architecture and neighborhoods.
I’m not focused on staying in the main tourist district—just somewhere walkable and convenient from a train station. A private room in a charming, older building would be ideal, and I don’t mind stairs. I’ll be traveling solo with only a small backpack.
