There has been a lot of discussion lately about disruptions affecting domestic flights in Greenland, so I thought I'd share my experience with United's international service from Nuuk (GOH) to Newark (EWR).
Here are my two trips so far:
September 3, 2025
Departed on time
Flight was not full
Light morning fog, but no operational issues
June 28, 2026
Departed on schedule and arrived ahead of time
Flight was busier than last year, but still had empty seats
Similar weather conditions with some morning fog
Based on my experience, both flights have gone very smoothly.
Airport security was also quick and efficient. The only minor issue was that the self-service bag drop wasn't working, so I had to check my luggage with an agent. I arrived around 7:00 a.m., which kept the wait short and made the process easy.
