I received a notification today showing that some of my Turkish Airlines miles had been removed, and I am not sure why.
Before the adjustment, I had around 45,000 miles, which kept me above the 40,000-mile requirement for Elite status. After the deduction, my balance is now about 38,000 miles, putting me below that threshold.
When I check my account, it still shows that I have Elite status, so I am unsure whether this reduction will affect my membership benefits or cause my status to be downgraded.
My biggest concern is that I have an upcoming economy flight with Singapore Airlines and was planning to use the Star Alliance Gold benefits that come with Turkish Airlines Elite status.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows whether a mileage adjustment like this can impact existing Elite status?
