Had a rough one at MAD. My partner was connecting through and needed to stop by the Ryanair desk because her Guatemalan passport doesn’t have the chip for online verification. Problem was the desk was outside the transit area, and immigration wouldn’t let her in just to go there.
Then security wouldn’t let her go to the gate without a boarding pass. Total loop. Info desk tried calling immigration and got nowhere. Eventually security let her through and Ryanair printed the pass at the gate. She barely made it out.
MAD can be such a headache sometimes.
