My Favorite Breakfast Pit Stop in Seattle Is Saying Goodbye

Every time I passed through Seattle, especially early mornings heading north, I'd make it a point to stop at Ravenna Varsity. There was just something grounding about their coffee and pancakes before hitting the road again. It wasn’t fancy, but it always felt like home. Seeing the regulars chatting with the staff, the old-school booths, and the smell of bacon in the air, it was my little moment of calm during hectic travel days.

Hearing it's closing this Sunday after 60+ years hit me harder than I expected. I made one last visit this week, and yeah, it was packed, but so full of warmth and gratitude. Sandy and her son Bryan built something special. If you’ve ever been, what’s your favorite memory or order? Would love to reminisce a bit before the doors close for good.
