I have a 6 hour 35 minute layover in Munich on a Tuesday during the summer. My flight arrives around 5:30 AM, and my connecting flight to the U.S. departs at 12:10 PM. My checked luggage will already be handled.
I’m considering leaving the airport to visit the city center and expect to arrive there around 7:30 AM. I’m wondering whether attractions, shops, or general activity in the city are open at that time, and whether it’s practical or worthwhile to leave the airport during this layover.
I’d appreciate advice from anyone who has done something similar and can share whether exploring the city is feasible within this timeframe.
