In January, I booked a March MSC cruise and participated in a Yacht Club upgrade bidding process. I placed a bid of $1,215, which was charged to my credit card.
Later, MSC informed me that my credit card had supposedly declined the charge. However, my bank confirmed the transaction went through successfully, and I have proof of the debit.
After contacting MSC, they confirmed they received the payment but told me that if my upgrade bid was not accepted, the funds could take up to 60 days to be refunded.
My cruise has now finished, I did not receive the upgrade, and despite multiple follow-ups, I still have not received my refund. It has now been over 105 days since MSC has been holding the money.
Each time I contact support, I am told to wait or am encouraged to book another cruise instead of getting a resolution.
Has anyone else experienced extremely delayed refunds for MSC upgrade bids or similar charges? If so, how did you eventually get it resolved
