Moved out of my roomette before the end of the trip. Is this normal?

On my first long distance Amtrak trip in a roomette (Crescent to NYC) and honestly it’s been pretty disappointing.

When we stopped in Philly, I was told I had to move to another roomette so they could make the bed. This was for the last couple hours of the journey. I wasn’t expecting that at all and was kind of rushed to grab my stuff, even though I paid for the roomette all the way to New York.

The attendant hasn’t explained much of anything. Dining was confusing too. She took my order in the room but never explained timing or whether it would be delivered or if I should go to the dining car. Eventually I tracked someone else down, got a time slot, went to the dining car and it was empty. After waiting around I had to go find someone in the kitchen to actually get my food.

Is this kind of thing normal on long distance Amtrak routes, or did I just get unlucky? Hard to justify the price if this is what I should expect
