Most reliable airline Europe to NYC?

Flying from Sofia to JFK soon. Only flown Lufthansa before fine for me, but my friend had bad luck with delays and lost bags. Debating between Lufthansa, Air France, Turkish, etc. Looking for the most reliable option and best economy experience. Any favorites?
