It’s official: NCL has dropped “More at Sea” and brought back the old “Free at Sea” branding. Mostly a rebrand, but there are a few tweaks worth knowing about.
What stays the same:
Drink package (same inclusions, no 15-drink cap like some other lines)
Specialty dining package pricing (but meal counts are adjusted)
$50 per-port shore excursion credit
Discounts for 3rd and 4th guests
Drink package still not valid on Great Stirrup Cay
What’s new:
“Gratuities” wording replaces the old package fee (same total cost though)
Flat $28.50/night drink package rate cheaper for most 7-night cruises, slightly more for 12+ nights
Specialty dining meals now depend only on cruise length, not room type
WiFi simplified: 150 minutes for all voyages (down from 300 on long cruises)
A refreshed “Free at Sea Plus” is coming soon with extras like streaming WiFi, bottled water, and prepaid service charges
Also, NCL’s running a few promos: CruiseNext TripleUp and bonus Latitudes points (3 extra per night on new bookings through Nov 12).
Overall, shorter cruises come out ahead, longer ones pay a bit more. The “Free at Sea” name might be back, but at least this version seems clearer than the last.
