That would get old fast.
Having to wait 10 days, then contact Bonvoy, then wait again just to get basic welcome points is annoying. Especially when it keeps happening. Once or twice, fine. But 4 out of 5 stays feels like a pattern.
It makes you wonder if some properties just aren’t posting them correctly, or if the system is glitching and no one notices unless you complain.
As for compensation, you can definitely ask. Sometimes they’ll throw a small courtesy points bonus for the hassle, especially if you point out it’s a repeated issue. No guarantees, but it doesn’t hurt to ask politely and show the pattern across multiple stays.
At minimum, I’d push for them to flag your account or contact the specific properties so it stops happening.
