Flew from Montreal to Munich and everything went sideways. Flight was delayed about 1 to 1.5 hours, then more delay waiting for a gate. After that, passport control was a mess because the automatic lines weren’t working.
By the time I got through, I’d missed my connection. I was originally booked Munich to Gdansk direct. Lufthansa rebooked me, but now it’s a 7 hour wait and a detour through Warsaw before finally getting to Gdansk.
This whole thing feels like really poor handling of delays. Does anyone know if there’s any compensation for something like this under EU rules, or is this just bad luck?
