Missed 1K… and United still gave it to me?

So I missed 1K last year by literally 334 PQP. Did a ton of work travel, but it was all short hops for week-long trips, so PQP was a grind.

I took the L, accepted it, moved on. Honestly, the main thing I cared about was pre-boarding anyway because… yeah, I’m that guy.

Then today I noticed my account shows MileagePlus 1K. No challenge completed, no email, no offer I knowingly accepted. It just… happened.

No idea how common this is, but I’m not complaining. Appreciate it, United. Small win for a tired road warrior.
