A traveler describes a frustrating experience flying Emirates from Islamabad to Bali where they were denied boarding due to an “OK to Board” requirement.
Despite having a valid passport, visa, and confirmed accommodation, they were stopped at the airport because their documents lacked this clearance. The passenger states that Emirates’ website did not clearly indicate this requirement for their route, which led to confusion and the eventual denial.
As a result, they had to rebook and pay for a new ticket out of pocket. They were also instructed to visit an Emirates office in person, where their documents were scanned and forwarded for verification.
Even after this process, the airline did not provide certainty about whether they would be allowed to board the next flight, only indicating that approval may or may not be granted. The lack of clarity around the requirement and inconsistent communication has left the passenger frustrated and uncertain about future travel.
