My husband and I are already booked on a flight in coach, but I was curious about how much it would cost to upgrade to Mint.
I searched for the same flight in a private browser while not logged into my account. When the search was set to one traveler, Mint was showing around $3,200 to $3,500. But when I changed it to two travelers, the price suddenly jumped to around $3,900 to $4,200 per person.
I understand it could simply be that only one seat was left in a lower fare bucket, but it still feels a bit frustrating. If I had not checked the pricing for one traveler first, it seems like I could have ended up paying an extra $700 to $1,400 without realizing it.
Has anyone else noticed this with JetBlue or other airlines? Is this just normal fare bucket behavior?
