Millersylvania State Park Is a Hidden Gem for Canoeing and Birding Bliss at Deep Lake!

Back from a weekend camping trip at Millersylvania State Park and I’m already planning my next visit. This place has it all, misty morning canoe rides on Deep Lake, old growth forest trails, and woodpeckers drumming in the trees. The campground was surprisingly lively, and the trails were peaceful even during a holiday weekend. I rented a canoe from Lakefront Boats and Bites super convenient if you don’t have your own gear.

If you’re into low-key adventures with loads of nature, this place is a dream. Anyone else been here recently? Did you spot any pileated woodpeckers or maybe catch the sunrise from a canoe? I'd love to hear your favorite trails or tips for quieter campsites in the park!
