Marriott warns member about loyalty account risk after receiving compensation points

I received an email from Marriott warning that my loyalty account may be at risk because I’ve received a high amount of compensation points.

This happened after I was given points for a hotel issue and also after winning 100,000 points in a hotel-run charity raffle. The email suggests my account activity is unusual due to the amount of “unearned” points.

This feels unfair given the circumstances, especially since the points were either compensation or part of an official promotion. Has anyone else received a similar warning, and did it lead to any problems with their account later?
