Used to travel a ton and definitely took advantage of those corporate rate codes floating around. Found one from a big consulting firm and used it for a long stay… staff basically knew us at that point.
One night the hotel manager tells us that company’s leadership is in town and buying drinks for their team.
We just looked at each other and went for it. Ended up drinking all night with them like we actually belonged there. Somehow blended right in.
Still can’t believe we pulled that off.
