Currently staying at a full-service Marriott with no lounge, got breakfast vouchers as Titanium. Showed up for breakfast and saw a sign saying “Platinum and above: drip coffee only.” I asked nicely if I could just get cold brew instead. Nope.
Next day I tried the same thing but asked for drip coffee over ice. They let it slide once, then the F&B manager apparently shut it down. I’m not even ordering food, just coffee, so it feels like a strange battle to pick.
Am I being difficult here, or is this a weird policy hill for the hotel to die on?
