It's hard to find a lot of info about tourists places in Basilan because of security concerns but Malamawi island is even. But the rumor is it's a long stretch of powder-fine white sand and turquoise, crystal-clear water that rivals more famous Philippine beaches like Boracay—except it’s blissfully quiet and uncrowded.
