This is one of those things that gets hyped a lot, so this was interesting to read.
First leg was fine (Osaka to Kyoto), but even then a suitcase came back damaged. Then on the return, bags just… didn’t show up when promised, and tracking said “under investigation” with no real explanation.
That’s the part that would stress me out, especially with a flight the next morning.
They eventually got the luggage back, but only after chasing it down with hotel staff and using AirTags. Sounds like it worked out, but definitely not the seamless experience people always talk about.
Feels like it’s still useful, just maybe don’t cut it too close timing-wise
